• Website Strategy
“Design is directed toward human beings. To design is to solve human problems by identifying them and executing the best solution.” – Ivan Chermayeff, Principal, Chermayeff & Geismar

    Requirements Analysis

Website strategy starts by defining the design problem. Through research, evaluation, and collaborative work between our team and business stakeholders, we draft a requirements analysis. This includes:
    • Site Objectives – what the site must do for the people who build the site?
    • User Research – what the site must do for the people who use the site?
    • Content Requirements – what information will users need or want from the site?
    • Functional Specifications – what application features will users need to fulfill their goals?

    Conceptual Design

Once the strategy and scope has been clearly defined, we begin the conceptual design and build the structure of the site.
    • Information Architecture – how the users move from one content element to the next?
    • Interaction Design – how the users move from one step in the process to the next?
  • Website Design
“A picture is worth a thousand words. An interface is worth a thousand pictures.” – Ben Shneiderman, Founding Director of the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory, University of Maryland

    Mockups & Prototypes

Babble Wire designs websites with the experience of the user at the center of our focus. The term “user experience” refers to a concept that places the end-user at the focal point of design and development efforts, as opposed to the system, its applications or its aesthetic value alone. It is based on the general concept of user-centered design and incorporates these four basic principles:
    • Interface Design – what are the means for users to interact with application functionality?
    • Navigation Design – how do users move through the site?
    • Information Design – how is information presented to the user?
    • Visual Design – what does the site look like?
  • Website Planning
“Do not repeat the tactics which have gained you one victory, but let your methods be regulated by the infinite variety of circumstances.” – Sun Tzu, The Art of War

    Project Management

Effective website planning requires effective project management. Project management is crucial to seeing a user-centered design approach succeed. Why? Without it, the website strategy can be overlooked and shortcuts taken. We will work closely with you so that you know what to expect at each stage of the process.
    • Project Goals & Objectives – what’s the website strategy?
    • Defined Tasks – how are goals going to be met?
    • Resources – what resources are needed to achieve the stated goals?
    • Realistic Project Schedule – what are milestones and key delivery dates?
    • Budget – how much is it going to cost?
  • Online Marketing
“Marketing is not an event, but a process . . . It has a beginning, a middle, but never an end, for it is a process. You improve it, perfect it, change it, even pause it. But you never stop it completely.” – Jay Conrad Levinson, Chairman, Guerrilla Marketing International
